12°: A-R¹² [$6 signed, F4 as ‘F6’]; [1-2] 3-405 [406], [2] (blank) pp. Contemporary paste-paper over thin boards with gilt stamped title label on a flat spine. A tiny bit of rubbing in a few spots and the corners very lightly bumped, some scattered spotting but a fresh and lovely copy.

The volume begins with a Vita di Francesco Petrarca, by Luigi Bandini, and includes, woodcut head- and tailpieces.

Uncommon 18th Century pocket edition of Petrarch’s celebrated sonetti, canzoni, & trionfo (the sonnets, songs, and triumphs) published by the Bassano printer-publisher Remondini, who by the time this edition appeared employed over 1,500 and boasted 50 working presses.
